After bailing last week due to the high winds and poor visibility, we decided to head back and try Mount Elbert one more time before winter came to an end.
The weather was really warm and the wind was calm. Night and day difference from last week. We left the trailhead at 7:30am and were back to the car before 3pm. Pretty good timing considering we spent a half hour at the summit since it was so nice. We both did really well with the altitude which is a great sign. Hoping this training will get us ready for Bolivia in June.
