Trip Details

Elevation: 17,700 Feet

Elevation Gain: 1300 Feet

Distance: N/A Miles

Gear: Trekking poles

Officially summited our highest peak so far! We had to park at 16,400 due to the snow and hiked approximately 1300 feet of gain in an hour and a half. Overall car to car took ~2 hours. Not bad for 5400 meters! Despite being a little sick we both felt great and did not experience any issues with altitude.

After climbing we went back to La Paz and visited Moon Valley. It was a really cool place and was at 10800 feet. This part of La Paz was much different since it was much more desert like.

We also met up with Jon at the hostel to go over logistics for the climbs. Super nice guy. Everything is looking good for the climbs as long as we stay healthy. Throats are still hurting and Jenn has bloody nose the past 2 days.
